Our first introduction to this loving breed was Maddie, our next-door neighbor’s family pet. While we met Maddie in Los Angeles, we also visited her when her family returned to New York and have fond memories of her and the 2 children she was a protective guardian too and played fetch with in Central Park. With our door handle we tried to express Maddie’s gentle calm presence and her steadfast loyalty.
